Strubby, Beesby and Maltby Village Hall group were awarded £8,865.44 to enhance the look of their village hall for the benefit of local residents and visitors.
The group run monthly coffee mornings in the hall and there is a local population of 200 residents who use the venue. Funding has enabled them to replace the old and broken rainwater guttering and downpipes, preventing further damage to the building for years to come.
The funding was also awarded to equip the hall with a fully working fire alarm, with audible sirens and flashing beacons for those that are hard of hearing, and the purchase of a large fridge. These would allow the group to put on more events in the hall and attract income from private hire bookings.
