People living in the Search Area will have had their GDF Voice delivered through their letterboxes this week.
The GDF Voice provides residents with information on geological disposal and the work taking place in the area with the Community Partnership. You can read the latest issue here online GDF Voice Issue 3 – February 2023
Anyone who needs a copy can pick up the newspaper from the Coastal Centre, on Victoria Road in Mablethorpe.
This issue includes information on the jobs and economic benefits that a GDF could bring to the area, with the pledge from NWS to recruit and train locally. It highlights the study now underway to determine how many local jobs and training opportunities could be provided. It features articles on how nature has inspired the concept of geological disposal and how it is being developed further by science and research. We also hear from geologists on the local geology of the Theddlethorpe area providing potentially suitable rocks for a GDF.
