Nuclear Waste Services is inviting people to come to the Dunes Complex in October for a chance to Discover the World of Geological Disposal Facility (GDF), Discover, Explore, Connect.
As the GDF developer, they have created a unique exhibition space to provide an opportunity to explore world class science, safety, engineering and technology using interactive models, films, audio guides and displays.
There will be something for everyone in the community, and of all ages to get involved in. You can learn why this area is being considered for a GDF, and what this could mean for you and for the area in future.
Get a better understanding of geological disposal and whether this area could be a suitable place to host the facility, deep underground and beyond the coastline.
Technical specialists will be available at the event to chat to and to help answer questions.
