Chair provides statement from the Community Partnership
The announcement made today by Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) provides clarity on the Area of Focus and confirmation that the Search Area remains the same.
The information which NWS has provided shows where they will now focus site investigations in the search for a suitable location for a GDF surface facility and accessways.
Our focus as the Community Partnership is on getting detailed information from NWS on topics that people tell us they want to know more about.
We will make sure that the developer makes this available in a form that is easy to understand.
We will be looking to arrange village hall meetings for May and June. In the meantime, questions and concerns can be submitted anytime on our website; follow this link and contact us.
Our role is to share information and take the community’s concerns and questions back to the developer to get further information, and that is what we will do.
In the meantime, we encourage people to attend the local events and webinars that NWS have arranged over the next few weeks and use the opportunity to speak to NWS and ask your questions.
