Citizens Advice Lincoln and Lindsey were awarded £308,705 to provide free, independent, impartial and confidential advice and information services.
The areas of advice include welfare benefits, Universal Credit and tax credits, debt, housing and homelessness, employment, relationships, health care, education, legal and consumer issues. There will also be a focus on helping people with advice around their day to day living costs to help them tackle the cost of living challenges.
Funding will also pay for welfare benefits casework to help people to maximise their income by claiming full entitlement to welfare benefits. The organisation aims to empower and educate people so they are better able to deal with similar issues in the future.
