Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust were awarded £39,135 to fund a playground extension at Theddlethorpe Academy.
The Project will provide a fully installed and extended playground area at Theddlethorpe Academy to help the children create, play, and explore more in a secure and fun setting.
At this time, Theddlethorpe Academy is working to increase the number of children who come from the surrounding community as well as from further afield, such as Louth and North Somercotes. The school has earned a positive reputation, which has been bolstered by the fact that it received a “good” rating from Ofsted in July of 2023.
When there are more than one hundred students out on the playground at any given time, it becomes rather crowded, and the children do not have enough space to make use of their energy by running around and playing. With the addition of a trim trial and some fitness equipment to the playground, the school has attempted to think of a variety of ways to assist their play; but increasing the amount of space available to them would be of great help to their overall well-being and help them get ready for learning.
