Issue 4 of the newspaper will be delivered next week.
The GDF Voice provides information on geological disposal and the work taking place in the area. We have increased the distribution of the printed paper due to the feedback received and the request to make it available to a wider audience.
You can pick up a copy at the Coastal Centre, on Victoria Road in Mablethorpe. If you drop in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, please take the opportunity to chat to the engagement team between 9am – 2pm. Read the paper here online: GDF Voice Issue 4 – June 2023
Our Voice newspaper is an opportunity to reflect all views on the GDF project. The aim is to encourage and start discussions and feature questions, comments and content from more groups and organisations as the work develops.
Our latest issue highlights the Big Picture events held back in the Spring and provides dates of more of these Q&A film themed events taking place in early August. It introduces the Community Partnership members and their role in the process, as well as the work they are undertaking in the awarding of Community Investment Funding, to benefit the local area.
It features a piece on how the environment is at the heart of building a GDF, and the work that will done to assess, protect and enhance the area. The issue also includes an article on the multi barrier design of deep disposal and how the waste will be stored to keep both people and the environment safe.
